About Us
Hi! Our names are Megan and Anna and we have been friends since 2017. We both love math and have been dedicated teachers for a combined 25 years! We have experience in all mathematics from PreK - College Algebra and Elementary Statistics. We started Maniac Mathies because we were working building online curriculum materials and found out we loved creating “out of the box” activities for teachers, students, and families.
Meet Megan…
Megan has been a mathematics educator since 2012 when she received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Throughout the years she has worked with students of all abilities from Pre-K up through and including AP Calculus!
Megan believes in the power of project based learning, and physically interacting with problems rather than just being presented material for regurgitation. Seeing how math, even at the middle school level, can eventually be used in real time and real life is the magic that keeps students engaged!
Megan’s teaching experience spans across both traditional brick-and-mortar classrooms and the dynamic world of online education. Whether face-to-face or virtual, She has had the opportunity to connect with students from various backgrounds and cultures, enriching her teaching practice and broadening her perspectives.
When not immersed in the world of numbers and equations, you can find Megan spending quality time with her growing family, creating memories and cherishing moments!
